Mount Dora at Leesburg 2012 Football Game Preview

LEESBURG - Head Coach Randy Trivers will bring his Fightin' Yellow Jackets of Leesburg High School
home to Leesburg Memorial Field at Hubert O. Dabney Stadium to face Mount Dora Friday night. The
Jackets enter into their home opener 2-0 after last week's comeback win over Eustis at the Panther Den.
Leesburg comes into the game looking to go 3-0 for the second year in a row. Leesburg have won the
last two contests between the two schools.

Leesburg has gotten off to slow starts in each of it's first two games and will have to come out of the gate
firing on all cylinders to avoid a upset. For the second week in a row the Black Jackets defense will see a
quarterback that likes to spread the football around.

Mount Dora comes into the game (1-1, 0-0) after a shutout win over Tavares last week. The Hurricanes
have had to deal with loss of last years quarterback Vegas Harley (Georgia Southern). Junior quarterback
Bryant Mosher took over duties as signal caller and is a drop back passer with good passing skills. The
Black Jackets defense will have to get a pass rush on Mosher or it could be a long night for the black and
orange. Mosher will try to get the ball into the hands of RB-DB Jordan Porter and WR-DB Jonta Scott.
Each player has the ability to score from anywhere on the field.

The Jackets special teams have played very well and have been the key to the early season success of
the Jackets. Seniors Jordan Tucker and Austin Walker have provided the necessary leadership in all
three phases of the game. Look for Tucker and Walker to continue doing special things for Trivers
against the Hurricanes.

Tucker went into the game at fullback late in the first half and his blocking proved instrumental in Bryant
"Mr. No" Benton's superb rushing performance last week. The Jackets have to be careful and not get
caught looking ahead to Clermont East Ridge next week to avoid an upset.

Leesburg

Coach: Randy Trivers
2012 Record 2-0, 0-0
Record at Leesburg 16-6
Overall: 89-33

Top players: OL Chris Smith (Sr., 6-0, 225), OL Adriel Hansborough (Sr., 6-3, 240), DE-LB Jordan Tucker
(Sr., 6-2, 210), WR-TE Lee Bennett (Jr., 6-1, 200), Austin Walker, Demetric Blue, Bryant Benton, Bryan
Jefferson, Germaine Gasden, Estader Maurepass, Lee Bennett, Adrian Falconer

The Buzz: The Jackets are looking to start off 3-0 for second straight season. Leesburg will have to do a
better job of protecting the football this week. Against Eustis the Jackets committed 3 turnovers in the first
half. Offensively they will have to come out of the gate smoking and not put the defense in a hole. Mr. No
Benton is slowly becoming one of the best backs in Lake County if not Central Florida. Look for the
combination of Benton and Tucker in the backfield a lot more this week. The Jackets have more depth
and speed than Mount Dora and will try to use it their advantage. Randy Trivers will try to improve his
record to 3-0 against Mount Dora.

Mount Dora
Coach: Chad Grabowski
Last Year 5-5
At Mount Dora 19-14
Overall 19-14

Top players: RB-DB Jordan Porter (Jr., 5-8, 160), LB Kris Murray (Sr., 5-11, 205), WR-DB Jonta Scott (Jr.,
5-8, 160), OL-DL Gerald England (Sr., 6-2, 245), QB Bryant Mosher (Jr., 6-4, 200)

The Buzz: The Hurricanes rebounded from their opening week lost to Groveland South Lake with a
shutout win over Tavares last week. They are a much improved ball club will come in to Leesburg
Memorial Field at Hubert O. Dabney with upsetting Leesburg on their mind.

those memories."
